Guide to Obtain and Use Evony Adventure General Athena

Evony adds adventure gameplay in new servers and releases some new adventure generals. These generals have two different modes of attributes and can be used as both main city and adventure generals. Among them, Athena is one of the Epic Historic Generals with a dual identity. This guide will detail her two modes, and organize how to obtain Athena, as well as usage suggestions for different modes.

General Background Story

At the peak of Mount Olympus, Athena reigns with unparalleled wisdom and justice as the goddess of war and wisdom.

During the Trojan War, Athena's guidance was crucial. When the Greek forces faced the impenetrable walls of Troy, she devised the plan to build a giant wooden horse, hiding soldiers within, and feigned a retreat. The Trojans brought the horse inside their city, believing it a trophy. As they celebrated, the hidden warriors emerged, opening the gates for the Greek army, and leading to Troy's downfall. Yet, Athena also recognized the brutality of war and placed great value on the preciousness of peace.

In the contest for Athens' patronage, Athena's gift of an olive tree won the people's favor, symbolizing wisdom, peace, and progress. This contrasted with Poseidon's warhorse, representing power and conquest. The olive tree became an enduring symbol of peace and wisdom.

As we look at Mount Olympus, we can envision Athena, guiding us with her infinite wisdom and justice.

Basic Attributes:

Special Skill - Goddess of Wisdom:

Increases mounted troops' attack, defense, and HP by 35% when she is leading the army to attack. Increases all troops' attack by 150% when she is leading the army to attack monsters under 40M power.

1. When attacking monsters, mounted troops attack +20% and monsters defense -8%

2. When attacking monsters under 70M power, troops attack +210%

3. When attacking monsters, monsters defense -10% and march speed +50%

4. Attacking mounted troop attack, HP, and defense +20%

5. When attacking monsters under 100M power, troops attack +300% and mounted troops attack +50%

Increasing Star & Ascending Cost

Enhance - Increase golden stars

• General Lv5; Gold 500K; Medal 20

• General Lv8; Gold 1M; Medal 60

• General Lv10; Gold 2M; Medal 150

• General Lv12; Gold 4M; Medal 400

• General Lv14; Gold 7.5M; Medal 1000

Easier to level up than other Epic Historic Generals (golden generals), same as Historic Generals (purple generals).

Enhance - Ascend red stars

• 1※ - Athena's General Fragment (or Ascension Fragment) * 4+4+4+4+14=30; Don't need to consume the Blood of Ares.

• 2※ - Fragment * 8+8+8+8+28=60; Don't need to consume the Blood of Ares.

• 3※ - Fragment * 12+12+12+12+42=90; Don't need to consume the Blood of Ares.

• 4※ - Fragment 16+16+16+16+56=120; Blood of Ares 130+130+130+130+550=1070

• 5※ - Fragment 20+20+20+20+70=150; Blood of Ares 150+150+150+150+650=1250

The star upgrade and ascend levels of the two modes, Main City and Adventure, are shared, so you only need to upgrade the star level of one mode.

Max-level Specialties:

• Mounted Troop Formation: mounted troop attack and defense +10%

• Fortune: double items drop rate from monsters +15%

• Mounted Troop Ares: mounted troop attack, HP, and defense +10%

• Patron Goddess of Athens: mounted troop attack on monsters +50%, defense and HP on monsters +30%

Attack: 69; growth 14.8

Defense: 47; growth 10.2

Spellcasting Skill - Aegis:

Raises the Aegis Shield to intimidate the enemy, dealing damage equal to 112% of attack power to a wide area of enemies and reducing their attack power by 25% for 2 seconds.

1. Dealing damage equal to 112% of attack power to a wide area of enemies and reducing their attack power by 25% for 2 seconds.

2. Dealing damage equal to 154% of attack power to a wide area of enemies and reducing their attack power by 28% for 2 seconds.

3. Dealing damage equal to 210% of attack power to a wide area of enemies and reducing their attack power by 30% for 2 seconds.

4. Dealing damage equal to 266% of attack power to a wide area of enemies and reducing their attack power by 35% for 2 seconds.

5. Dealing damage equal to 329% of attack power to a wide area of enemies and reducing their attack power by 40% for 2 seconds.

6. Dealing damage equal to 392% of attack power to a wide area of enemies and reducing their attack power by 45% for 2 seconds.

Passive Skills:

• Spear of Victory - Throws the spear at the enemy, dealing damage equal to 110% of attack power to the targeted enemy.

• Hero's Glory - During the battle, it increases the attack, defense, and HP of the unit by 10%.

• Meteor Oath - When entering the battlefield, the damage dealt by the front-row allies increases by 8%.

The Way to Get General Athena

General Athena is only available on new servers.

1. Strategic Stockpile

You can get the general at the 'Strategic Stockpile' event on the 'Super Value Return' page.

During the event, purchase basic gems to claim rewards, including 'Adventure General Fragment Optional Chest'.

Open the chest to select a general fragment from King Arthur, Sappho, Scipio Africanus, and Athena. There are 30 chests in total on the reward list of the Strategic Stockpile. As long as you can get all 30 chests and choose Athena's fragments, you can unlock the general, because exactly 30 fragments can unlock General Athena.

There may be other ways that we haven't known about, or as the game is updated, Evony may add more activities to obtain this general, who knows.

2. New Server Limited Packages

The packages have 5 tiers.

• 1st tier - 2 Athena fragments

• 2nd tier - 4 Athena fragments

• 3rd tier - 6 Athena fragments

• 4th tier - 6 Athena fragments

• 5th tier - 12 Athena fragments

3. Historic General Sale Packages

There are 3 tiers.

You can get Historic General Fragment Chest (Athena) and Historic General Fragment (Athena). Open the chest to receive a random item including Athena's fragment(s).

Athena's Usage in the 2 Modes

1. Use her in adventure and mysterious realm

Athena's skills include area damage + debuff + enhancement.

Her large-area damage is a casting skill with a debuff effect; small-area damage is released in a straight line and is a pure attack skill.

Single-target enhancement effect is for oneself; group enhancement is for the front row of your team.

Overall, Athena can be considered half a warrior and half an assistant.

It is somewhat similar to the positioning of Martinus in adventure mode, but Martinus's area damage comes with a control effect (stun), and the group enhancement is for all members of your own team.

2. To be a monster-killing general

Although Athena is classified as a mounted general in the game, based on her skill description, we think she is more suitable to be a pure monster-killing general.

Athena can be combined with all monster-killing generals, such as Aethelflaed, Caeser, Theodora, Maria Theresa, Nathanael Greene, and Baibars.

Besides, she can also be paired with almost all mounted generals like George Monck, Martinus, Napoleon (Prime), Zhao Yun, Beowulf, and Poligenus.
